Eye Candy Friday

Some pretty sock yarn that I got a couple of weeks ago.  It's called Emerald Mine and I got it off of Etsy.  I ordered it for my birthday.  Can't wait to cast on.  :)

It's been a while since I've updated.  There isn't much going on besides the usual stuff. 

I feel extra busy lately though and a bit behind the curve in general.  I have many things to do and catch up on - emails, mailing and finishing Mother's Day gifts (oops!), homework, cleaning the house...etc. 

I hope to catch up this weekend and have more time for blogging soon.

Eye Candy Friday

I did some spinning on my wheel on Tuesday night.  Since Starbucks was closed, the yarnies came over to my house.  Everyone had spinning on the brain I guess because there were like 4 or 5 wheels in this little space!

I spun up a couple of ounces of wool that I purchased last year.  The label wasn't specific, but it was nice to spin. 

I have another bobbin filled like this one too.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this as far as making a 2 ply or leaving it as singles. 

I still have to take some pictures of my wheel and share...maybe this weekend.  I've been using it a lot and getting more comfortable spinning which is great.  I did my first 2 ply the other night and it's hanging out on my niddy noddy waiting to be set.  I hope to have some time this weekend to do that and then I'll share.

Eye Candy Friday

I don't have a photograph for Eye Candy Friday this week, but I do have a screenshot from my computer which I think qualifies.

On Wednesday I booked a ticket for my youngest brother to come out and spend his spring break from college with us in Seattle.  :)

We're actually getting a visitor!  This is a big deal for us because we've only had a few visitors since we moved out here, despite everyone and their brother telling us that they're going to visit us over the last 2 years.  Save your empty promises people!  ;)

Adam and I both really excited for the visit.  He'll be here for 10 days which is great because there are a lot of things to see around here.

Eye Candy Friday

because everyone could use a pair of gold sneakers.

Scored these this past weekend in an "after Christmas" sale.  I saw them a month ago at a store, but they didn't have my size.  I walked away very disappointed.  I love sneakers and I love gold.  ;)  Saw them Saturday night and grabbed them right away.  The sale was just a bonus.

And my pants aren't really floods...I'm holding them up.

We found a grocery store that stocks Labatt Blue (but not Labatt Blue Light!).

If you're from our hometown (or anywhere around it) (especially our family members), you'll understand why this is indeed Eye Candy.  I love Blue...and I don't even like beer.  :)

Here's my eye candy for the week:

What's that, you ask?  That is a screenshot of my Outlook with a completely EMPTY task bar.  It's a big deal because that is filled every week with tasks for school.  And I mean FILLED.  The other day I noticed that it was empty and that my friends, is pure eye candy.  :)

Tonight is finish-packing-night.  We leave tomorrow for our week home.  I'm beyond excited...seriously.  :)
